Why "Uniquely Yours"?
We are in the process of opening a new store featuring handmade items. One of the first things we did in the process was to come up with a name. People often ask us, why'd you choose Uniquely Yours? The name comes from the concept of the store itself. You won't find items here you could get down at Target or your local mall. Each of our items has been created by a Michigan artisan.
That's nice, you might say, but it still doesn't explain the name. Well, most if not all the items in the store can be customized, making them "uniquely yours"! You'll find all kinds of interesting and customizable items such as wedding garters, diaper cakes in the shape of trains and planes, concrete tiles, medallions, jewelry, American Girl doll clothes, and a host of other items.
We hope to make this blog unique as well. Sure, we'll post news about the store, updates from our various artisans and happenings at Canterbury Village. We'll also post how-to's, links to our Facebook
giveaways, fun holiday ideas, interesting items we run across on the web and some local interest items. In short, lots of variety and fun things to read.
